KPI students

This year's educational program “Seeds for the Future”, which took place in Rome from July 1 to 5, brought together 150 students from 23 countries.

The students of the Department of Thermal and Alternative Energy of the Institute of IATS won the International Competition of Student Research Papers ‘Black Sea Science’.

Artificial intelligence, or AI, as it is often abbreviated, is probably the fastest growing scientific and technological field in comparison to other IT industries and breakthrough areas of innovation. The scope of its application is constantly growing: AI is already serving people in agriculture and industry, medicine and transport, marketing and sociology, etc. And this range is expanding almost every month. For our country, its potential for use in the defence sector is particularly important today. 

On May 21, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy visited the National Technical University of Ukraine "Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute" and met with young scientists and representatives of the Minor Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.

A three-day student Olympiad "Mechatronics in Mechanical Engineering" was held at Kyiv Polytechnic. About 20 KPI students competed for the championship in applying the basics of mechanics, electronics, electricity and automation to solve problems that arise in real production.

From May 10 to 12, Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute hosted the Ukrainian Chess Championship among university students. This is the first tournament of this level in many years. It was initiated by Kyiv polytechnics and supported by the Ukrainian Chess Federation, the Committee for Physical Education and Sports of the Ministry of Education and Science, and the NGO Kyiv Chess Federation. 

The annual hackathon CSC 55 - Computer Science and Cybernetics - is held by the Faculty of Computer Science and Cybernetics of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv and the NGO Hackathon Expert Group with the support of GlobalLogic, Revenue Grid, MiddleWare Europe.

It's been almost three years since we congratulated our climbing team on winning the Ukrainian Higher Education Championship. The break was first caused by the COVID-19 epidemic, then a full-scale war broke out.

Sofia Drozd, a first-year master's student of the Department of Mathematical Modeling and Data Analysis (MMAD), won first place at the Student Research Competition (SRC), organized by the ACM, the oldest and largest international organization in the field of computer science.
