February 20 is the Day of the Heavenly Hundred Heroes in Ukraine. This day is of particular importance for our country and the university, because among those who gave their lives for freedom and a decent future of the country in February 2014 were students and graduates of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute.

With the assistance and support of one of the largest Ukrainian miltech companies SkyFall, the Faculty of Radio Engineering of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute opened a state-of-the-art laboratory of signals and processes in radio engineering, which is not inferior to the European level and has no analogues in Ukraine.

"Born from the Flame": a lesson of courage in the DPM

According to the rector of the National Technical University “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute” Anatoliy Melnychenko, the exhibition “From the Flame We Were Born”, which opened on January 23 this year at the university's State Polytechnic Museum named after Borys Paton, is another reason to remember those students and teachers of KPI who are no longer with us because of the insidious war. “This exhibition is an inspiration for young people, students, teachers, a lesson in courage for many Kyiv residents and guests of our city,” he emphasized at the opening ceremony.

Nuclear power and the nuclear industry have always been the most important components of Ukraine's economic, energy and environmental security. Today, the key issue for the development of this industry is personnel training. Among the three Ukrainian universities that directly train specialists for the nuclear power industry, Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute is the most powerful and stable, which is why the employment rate of its graduates exceeds 60%.

Ensuring a stable energy supply is critical for our country. It is crucial for military needs, maintaining the livelihoods of the civilian population, and preserving economic stability. Therefore, it is necessary to implement energy efficiency measures that allow for more efficient use of energy resources. Therefore, we are already beginning to develop mechanisms for implementing an innovative economic policy to ensure energy efficiency in the context of the development of Industries 4.0, 5.0 and the growing risks of the post-war period.
