On the 19th-21th May 2014 at the Department of Theoretical Electrical Engineering of NTUU "KPI" (head of the department – member of NAS of Ukraine, prof. A.A.Scherba) there was held the final, the second stage of the Ukrainian student Competition in the theoretical basis of electrical engineering. 34 students from 13 leading universities in Ukraine from 11 cities: Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Lviv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Kherson, Cherkasy, Chernivtsi, Chernihiv took part in the competition.
The jury consisted of teachers of TBE from NTUU "KPI" (prof. A.A.Scherba, ph.d., professor I.A.Kurylo, ph.d., associate professor V.I.Chybelis, ph.d., associate prof. I.N.Namatsalyuk, phd., associate prof. L.Y. Spinul, senior teacher. A.A.Shulyak) and 6 teachers from other universities (phd., associate prof. of DonNTU O.V.Koroschenko; phd., associate prof. KHNTU Y.O.Bahanov, phd., associate prof. of V. Lazaryan Dnipropetrovsk National University of Rail Transport O.I.Bondar, phd., associate prof. of NU "Lviv Polytechnic" V.I.Horyachko, ph.d., senior teacher ZNTU H. M. Romanichenko, ph.d., senior teacher of the Chernihiv STU A. V. Krasnozhon). The winners were assessed in individual and team examinations.
The first place in the individual competition took Vitaly Polansky (Zaporizhzhia NTU, 50 points), the second - Volodymyr Andrushko (NU "Lviv Polytechnic”, 46 points), the third - Andrew Danyluk (NTUU "HPI", 42 points). In the team examination the first place won Zaporizhzhia NTU (82 points), the second - Chernihiv national technical university (68 points), and only with one point less the team of NTUU "KPI" concede to them, which with the result of 67 points took the third place.
Participants noted that the competition was held at a high level, thanks to the organizers, and it finished with the Kyiv centre sightseeing and visiting the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra.
