20-21 May VI International Scientific and Technical Conference "New Materials and Technologies in Mechanical Engineering-2014" was held at NTUU "KPI".
The conference was attended by students, teachers and researchers of the Faculty of Engineering Physics and related disciplines from the universities of Ukraine, Belarus, Poland and Czechoslovakia. Nearly 100 papers on topical issues of foundry production were presented for their consideration. They are development of advanced resource-saving technologies, obtaining castings from various metals and alloys in single molds and using special methods of casting, physico-chemical principles of metals and alloys, theory crystallization and solidification of castings, development and use of advanced molding materials and compounds, modern technology making molds and cores, modeling process foundry.
In addition, a draft program TEMPUS MMATENG «Modernization of curricula two-level training programs (Bachelor / Master) in engineering materials on the base of competent science approach and best experience in the implementation of the Bologna process" was presented at the conference.
At the closing session of the conference, the participants expressed a desire to meet again next year.
