During the visit to Belarus, representatives of "KPI" signed a new agreement on partnership, cooperation and scientific exchange between HDTU of P.O.Suhoj and "KPI" and visited " Gomselmash" enterprise , producing more than 40 basic positions of different kinds of agricultural machines under the company name of " PALESSE " for harvesting crops, corn , canola , sunflower, soybean , forage , potato , flax and sugar beets according to modern agricultural technological standarts . Between "KPI" and PA " Gomselmash" was signed an agreement on cooperation in oeder to improve quality of training for agriculture specialists, including the possibility of an internship for MMI lecturers .
On the November, 22 HDTU of P.O.Suhoj engineering faculty was celebrating its 40th anniversary. In 1968, due to the urgent need of the industry for qualified workers the general engineering faculty of Belorussia Polytechnic Institute with evening form of training was opened in Gomel. In 1968 the first nomination for the specialty of "Technology of mechanical engineering, machine tools and cutting tools " was conducted. In January 1973, in the process of reorganization of Belarusian Polytechnic Institute Gomel Branch machine building department.
Greetings, words of gratitude and plans for further cooperation were told by managers and enterprises specialists, with whom the faculty tighly cooperates during the training of future employees and for research purposes. Lecturers of MMI NTUU "KPI" presented Dean H.V.Petryshyn a welcome address from the staff of the Institute and a book on the centenary KPI " KPI. First century."
As part of the celebratory events was orginised meeting and discussions of future cooperation with the dean of the faculty of machine engineering, Associate Professor H. V.Petryshyn, Head of the " Machine parts department" Ph.D., assistant professor N.V.Inozemtseva , the first prorector O.D.Asenchyk, scientific research prorector Associate Professor A.A.Boyko , vice-rector for academic and educational work prof. V.V.Kyriyenko, Head of the " Technology of mechanical engineering, machine tools and cutting tools department " Ph.D., assistant professor M.I.Myhaylov.
For the MMI "KPI" lecturers was orginised a city tour through Gomel. Vastly liked was the historical palace of Rmyantsev-Rozumovsky, situated on the bank of the river Sog . V.B.Strutynskyy and O.V.Lytvyn visited the Belarusian State university of Transport, founded in 1953 , where met with their colleague, an old friend of MMI - Professor H.P.Tarykovym .
