For the first time in recent years, the Ukrainian Chess Championship among university students was held in Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute. Masters of Sports, FIDE masters, candidates for master of sports and first-grade chess players competed. For three days, 10 teams from different universities of Ukraine competed for the victory.
The team from Kyiv Polytechnic became the absolute champion with a significant margin of victory in the team and overall competition in rapid chess - blitzes and rapids.
In August, they will go to compete for the title of European Chess Champion among students.
