On August 16, a meeting of the Director of the Center for International Education of Igor Sikorsky KPI Sergii Maulik with the newly appointed Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to Ukraine H.E. Nadir Khan, became an important step on the way to strengthening bilateral relations between Ukraine and Pakistan in education sphere.
The parties discussed the history of training of Pakistani students at KPI, the current state and prospects of attracting students from Pakistan to study at KPI. Ambassador emphasized the importance of internationalization of the education system of both Pakistan and Ukraine, promising to make diplomatic efforts to return Pakistan students who left Ukraine due to hostilities and military invasion to safe regions of Ukraine, including Kyiv.
The parties agreed on the importance of joint efforts to attract Pakistani students to study at KPI, as our University provides educational services that are in high demand among Pakistani youth (software engineering, mechanical engineering, biomedical engineering), and Ambassador promised to provide maximum support in the dissemination of this information among potential stakeholders in Pakistan.
Ambassador was impressed by the openness and transparency of our University in terms of providing all necessary information to potential entrants through online resources, as well as the rich history of KPI.
Director of the CIE, in his turn, invited H.E. Nadir Khan to visit KPI and learn more about the opportunities that KPI provides to its students, even during martial law. Ambassador kindly accepted the invitation and expressed his desire to visit the KPI.
The meeting concluded on a positive note, with parties expressing satisfaction over the productive discussions and the strengthening of connection in the name of international relations and education. H. E. Nadir Khan expressed optimism about the potential for fruitful collaborations and conveyed a strong desire to witness the continued growth of the partnership.
