“Wheel” rolls thanks to a graduate of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute

The favourite place of rest for Kyiv residents and guests of the capital is the St. Andrew’s Descent. It attracts not only by its architectural color, museums, souvenir shops, food establishments, various cultural and artistic events, but also original theatres. In particular, the Wheel Theater has been working for the thirty-second season. “Why this name?”,the visitors ask. It symbolizes continuous movement. I.M. Saliy helped to get the premises and to “start” this movement. He is a graduate of the Faculty of Chemical Engineering of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, then the first secretary of the Podilskyi district committee of the KPU, later-the chairman of the Podilskyi district council, a deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of the first convocation, who decided to create a artistic Mecca on this street.
