Students of the Department of the Faculty of Instrumentation Engineering visited Poznan University of Technology (PUT) at the end of November. This visit took place under an inter-university bilateral cooperation agreement.

The students not only visited the PUT campus, they also visited the library, where they got acquainted with the structure and modern technologies of using the library’s information resources in automated mode, they also visited a number of faculties and departments.

In the laboratory of optronics at the Department of Metrology and Measurement Systems of the Faculty of Mechanics, Professor Eva Stahovska told about non-destructive interferometric measurement methods for biomedical and engineering industries. Students were also able to get acquainted with the activities of electronic circuit prototyping laboratory and programmable logic control at the Faculty of Electronics. By the way, they presented their own scientific projects and practical developments for Polish teachers and students.

Definitely, the students of the Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute most liked the visit to the biomechanics laboratory at the Faculty of Biomedical Engineering, where they heard a very interesting lecture about modern developments in the field of prosthetics and 3D-printing of the implants. This lecture was read by associate professors P. Kachmarek and T. Mankovsky. There was a lively discussion after the lecture.

The meeting with Professor Stefan Brock at the Mechanical Faculty of the Institute of Automated Control, Robotics and Computer Engineering was extremely interesting. A Polish scientist introduced our students to motion control system using stable linear and non-linear methods. He paid special attention to the issues of hybrid sliding mode control by methods of computational intelligence.

Also, students of the Department of Instrumentation Design and Engineering attended an open lecture on “Mathematics and IT technology in Investment Banking. An introduction to Quantitative Analysis” read by Professor Adam Lodigovsky at  Poznan University of Technology.

Our polytechnicians visited a modern and well-equipped sport complex of the university. The manager of the sport complex gave them a tour.

So, all the participants of the visit are grateful to the leadership and teachers of the Poznan University of Technology for their invitations, interesting lectures and new knowledge. We would like to express our special gratitude for the excellent preparation, organisation and interesting program of the visit to Olga Vahrina, the coordinator  for the development of Polish-Ukraine cooperation of the  Poznan University of Technology.
