At the start of the year, the staff of the Department of Machines and Apparatus of Chemical and Oil Refinery Productions congratulated Nina Anatoliyivna Volhina, the leader engineer, on her turning 70 years old. An outstanding worker, a person with cheerful soul and of good luck, she contributes to the development of unique creative microclimate of the department.
After graduating from school, Nina Anatoliyivna began adult life: at day time, she worked at then Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, whereas in the evenings she studied at the Department of Chemical Mechanical Engineering (the Department of Machines and Apparatus of Chemical Productions). After successful graduation from the institute, the Head of the Department Professor Y. I. Chornobylskyi offered her a job on a condition of continuing the studying as a postgraduate. So, the young engineer came to the laboratory of, at that time, assistant V. M. Marchevskyi. The work of a young scientist is not only making countless experiments and studying numerous publications at the library. It is also putting the results into production. That is why Nina Anatoliyivna studied geography during her trips all over the immense spaces of once enormous country. These were business trips full of surprises. For instance, she had to go to far Kemerovo (Russian Federation now) on the eve of the New Year to sign the reports on her work performance on time.
During many years, N. A. Volhina has been working as the leader engineer and asset manager of the Department of Machines and Apparatus of Chemical and Oil Refinery Productions, demonstrating diligence, perseverance, ambitiousness and reliability at work. Apart from that, she is an immovable secretary of the State Examination Commission of the department. During the working period, she proved to be experienced, high-qualified professional. She made enormous contribution to constant studying process. Nina Anatoliyivna acquires authority and respect from her students and colleagues.
Recently, N. A. Volhina has been conferred a honorary title “Honored Employee of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute” for her diligent attitude to her duties and long-term work at Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, according to the approval of the Academic Council of the National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute”.
