The Department of Ukrainian Language, Literature and Culture was founded on October 5, 1989 to ensure in-depth study of the Ukrainian language by students and university employees. It was the first department of Ukrainian studies in technical universities of Ukraine.
Traditionally on the Ukrainian writing and language Day, the 9th of November, Department of the Ukrainian Language, Literature and Culture hosted the qualifying round of the Petro Jacyk International Ukrainian Language Contest - “The Literacy Master” Competition.
Department of the Ukrainian language, literature and culture of our university is unique, because it is the first of Ukrainian Department of technical universities in Ukraine. It was created in 1989.
Language is the extremely old phenomenon. There isn’t the human without language. The primary function of language is to be a mean of communication, storage and transfer of knowledge. That explains the interest in language that people always showed and show.
