Heat Power Energy Faculty of NTUU "KPI" is known in Ukraine and abroad. Here there are prepared specialists for modern branches of science. The variety of such specialists is very diverse, especially at FHPE. Experienced teachers provide high level of training. Each year the graduates of the Faculty joined the teacher’s staff of the faculty. Today's story is about one of them - Vadim Kondratyuk, winner of the contest "Young treacher-researcher - 2012".
Vadim could confidently be called "true KPIshnik – the real representative of KPI". He went through all the stages of study in the Kiev Polytechnic. First Vadim Kondratuk graduated from pre-university training courses. Then with a high passing grade he was enrolled in the Faculty of heat and power energy. Specialty "Nuclear Power Engineering" he chose rather subconsciously than intentionally. And he never regretted after, and still genuinely passionate about this area. During his studies, Vadim received scholarships of Kurchatov and NAEC "Energoatom". In 2010 he entered the graduate school and now writes a thesis under the guidance of Professor, Head of Department of nuclear power plants and Engineering Thermophysics, Ph.D. Evgeny Pismenny.
Research interests Vadim Kondratyuka are as follows: the heat transfer and aerodynamics of the sheaf of complex profile pipes, heat transfer intensification, modernization and life extension of nuclear power plant pumping equipment. Now V.A.Kondratyuk is engaged in research of convective heat transfer and aerodynamic drag flat-oval tubes in crossflow air flow. Studies show that the proposed new methods of thermal and aerodynamic calculations complex profile heating surfaces ensure the creation of new types of intensified surfaces that will improve the compactness and reduce metal thermal power equipment by 20 ... 30%, which is accompanied by an increase reliability and improve their performance. Vadim Kondratyuk is the author and co-author of more than 20 scientific and methodical works. He participated in 8 scientific conferences and seminars in Ukraine and abroad.
Today at the department the young teacher-researcher reads lectures and carries out practical classes on "Pump and accessories NPP", "Modes of operation of NPP", "Theory of Nuclear Reactors", "Non-stationary processes and management of nuclear installations", "Operation of the NSSS."
His achievements V.A.Kondratyuk attributed to the fact that during the study and work in the KPI and beyond he was lucky to work with true professionals, who taught and guided, helped and supported him. He is very grateful them. We wich V.A.Kondratyuk new successes in his research and teaching work.
