On the 2d of November a competition for the passage of an internal committee for the project EMERGE was launched. The contest runs until the 15th of February. After graduation winners will be registered on the official website of the program.
Project EMERGE is the program of mobility of EU Erasmus Mundus, to harmonize higher education institutions in Eastern and Western Europe.
EMERGE abbreviation stands for Erasmus Mundus European Mobility with Neighboring Region in the East: Ukraine, Moldova, Belarus - Erasmus Mundus European Mobility with neighboring regions to the east: Ukraine, Moldova, Belarus.
The project started in September 2011 and runs until 2015. It is designed for three academic years. Students will be selected this year, will study the following academic year.
Participation in this project will take 37 bachelors, 23 masters, 8 graduate students, 12 doctoral students and 12 employees (total 102 participants) of Ukraine. Last year, 26 members of our university received grants and successfully trained EMERGE program in Europe. The most active participants were students of FL, FMM, FSR, FICT, PPI, FE, FMP and teachers from FBME.
The main requirements for participants are high average academic score during the study period (4.0 / 5 and more), good possession of English (level B2 and higher). Active participation in university life is welcome. Students of the 2-5 years of full-time study can take part in the project, which will be held inside the selection program and will meet all the requirements of the host country. For graduate students, doctoral candidates, teachers and administrative staff of KPI program also opens new opportunities for the exchange of international experience.
As part of the Consortium exchange between members of the EU and the countries of the Third World is arranged (Lot 8). European project partners of EMERGE were project coordinator - Alexandr Ioan Cuza University in Iasi (Romania), University of Graz, Karl and Franz (Austria), Catholic University of Leuven (Belgium), University of Montpellier II (France), University of Jena, Friedrich Schiller (Germany) University, University of Groningen (The Netherlands), Jagiellonian University (Poland), University of Granada (Spain).
The term of learning project for students is from 1 semester to 1 year. For teachers and administrative staff it is from 1 to 3 months. The winners will receive a monthly scholarship of 1,000 euros (students), 1500 euro for graduate students, 1800 euros for doctoral candidates and 2,500 – for teachers and administrative staff.
Selection of candidates for the grant project is made according to the rated domestic competition, motivation letter, letters of recommendation, work plan at the host university (for employees), language certificate. Foreign language is used for studying, which is to be elected by a scholarship holder.
At the launch of the project, which took place on 23d of October, 2013, the head of the academic mobility of students from "KPI" Tatiana S. Kuchinsky mentioned that participation in the project is rather real. Moreover, the performance of the KPI number of participants who receive a grant is growing each year. We cannot but rejoice that our students, graduate students, staff of KPI are among the most desired scholars abroad. According to the training of two graduates of FE in Belgium, a question of establishing a double graduate school has appeared. Thus, the project is becoming more and more interesting for our university. So do not hesitate and put yourself among the lucky project EMERGE participants!
