Department of Student Development

 Activities of the Department of Student Development (DSD) are based on the principles of responsibility, democracy and objectivity and are aimed at:

1. ensuring of the current legislation observance in the students' educational activities sphere, and observance of the university departments’ work concerning patriotic and legal education issues; prevention of students’ delinquency;
2. organization of the students’ settlement to the campus dormitories and accommodations control;
3. scholarship and social welfare, social protection of preferential categories of students, target and effective use of general and special fund of the state budget;
4. cooperation with Junior Academy of Sciences and implementation of “The Future of Ukraine” Program events, promotion of youngsters’ professional determination and professional growth of higher education applicants, assistance in finding a job with maximum opportunities of self-realization;
5. social and prophylactic works in the student environment, psychological support for higher education applicants, promotion of the volunteer movement, charitable work, healthy lifestyle and social activities among students;
6. interaction and cooperation with student organizations and the Student Consolidation Center with the purpose of joint projects implementation, organization and conducting of student competitions, technical contests, scientific, miss-cultural and sport and health events;
7. providing an information support for events held at the Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute using mass media;
8. formation of the information policy of the Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute’s traditions promotion and support of its positive image.
