The Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute has introduced a comprehensive system of measures to ensure food safety for students, staff, and cadets. This work is coordinated by the Student Food Centre (SFC), a structural subdivision of the university, and the vice rector for administration and finance has jurisdiction over the centre. The SFC manages catering for all categories of university consumers, offering confectionery, delicatessen, beverages, juices, dairy produce, and other foodstuffs, as well as rendering catering services to Kyiv Polytechnic’s recreation centres.

The SFC operates two student cafeterias serving hot meals, freshly baked goods, and both hot and cold beverages. In accordance with Rector's Act No. 4-101 dated 10 April 2014, the SFC is also authorised to cater seminars, meetings, and other events, as well as receptions, banquets, and coffee breaks at the request of staff or third parties.

The university is committed to ensuring accessible and sustainable food. Cafeterias serve a wide variety of dishes, including vegetarian and vegan options, prepared from seasonal produce without excessive use of processed ingredients. Foodstuffs are supplied from reliable sources with careful consideration for environmental responsibility.

There are two main cafeterias on the university campus. The central building houses a 60-seat cafeteria, which operates throughout an academic year. A balanced and varied menu is offered to students and staff, including soups, salads, side dishes, appetizers, desserts, and vegan options. A cozy atmosphere is conducive not only to dining but also to studying between classes.
