The delegation of the National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute” is on an official visit to the University of Le Mans (Le Mans Université, France), where it took part in the events of the first International Staff Week #1.
The program of the visit was rich and varied: KPI representatives joined the events dedicated to the internationalization of higher education, inclusion in the academic environment, and the development of international opportunities for students and teachers. There were workshops, panel discussions, networking meetings, as well as familiarization with the infrastructure of the campuses of the University of Le Mans and its branch in Laval.
One of the key events was the acquaintance and official meeting with the newly elected President of Le Mans University, Professor Delphine Lethor, who will be the first woman to head the university since March 31, 2025. During the talks, the prospects for further cooperation between our higher education institutions were discussed. In particular, they talked about joint participation in Horizon Europe competitions, development of cooperation within the NATO Science for Peace and Security initiative, active involvement in Erasmus+ KA2 programs, updating existing double degree programs and expanding them to new specialties, as well as strengthening academic mobility of students and teachers.
The visit to Le Mans confirmed the common desire of the Ukrainian and French sides to strengthen the strategic partnership, further integration of Ukrainian higher education into the European space, as well as to jointly implement international initiatives in the field of education, science and innovation.
