Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute was visited by a delegation of the PAEW Public Union consisting of the President of the Association, founder of ESG Liga Lyudmyla Tsyhanok and the Development Director of the Association Tetiana Derkach.
First Vice-Rector of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute Mykhailo Bezuglyi, Vice-Rector for Research Serhiy Stirenko, Dean of IHF Yevhen Panov, and Professor of the Department of Ecology and Technology of Plant Polymers of IHF Olena Ivanenko met with the guests. The participants of the meeting discussed the issues of establishing cooperation on the green transformation of our country. Finally, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the university and the Association.
According to Liudmyla Tsyhanok, the cooperation between Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute and the Association of Environmental Professionals will focus on creating dual education and training programs for environmental specialists, training promising specialists in environmental law and military ecology, advanced training of teachers according to ESG standards, creating research projects on post-war green reconstruction of the state, as well as on the prevention of environmental disasters, and launching regional programs to train professional environmentalists at the community level. The Department of Ecology and Technology of Plant Polymers of the IHF will start the cooperation.
One of the first steps in the joint work will be the first student ESG Reboot at Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute on April 29. (ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) is a set of criteria used to assess the activities of an organization or enterprise and their impact in these three areas). According to the organizers, this will be an event that reboots (that's what Reboot is) the approach to sustainable development, thinking about the impact and role of everyone in the new economy of actions, data and trust.

Its members include more than 7,000 top environmentalists, scientists and practitioners (engineers, ecologists, lawyers, sustainability managers, etc.) who implement effective environmental reforms. The organization is funded by membership fees.
We will take joint steps towards the green transformation of our country together with the Association of Environmental Professionals (PAEW), an organization that brings together more than 7,000 top environmentalists, scientists and practitioners (engineers, lawyers, entrepreneurs) who implement effective environmental reforms.
Cooperation between Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute and PAEW is a joint effort to:
📌 creating new dual education programs and training environmental specialists (engineers, lawyers and sustainable development specialists)
📌 training of promising specialists in environmental law and military ecology;
📌 professional development of teachers according to ESG standards;

The cooperation will begin with the Department of Ecology and Technology of Plant Polymers of the Faculty of Chemical Engineering (IHF) of our university.
One of the first joint initiatives is to hold the first ESG Reboot in April at our university.
