A meeting between representatives of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute and the Ukrainian scientific diaspora in Austria took place in Vienna.
Rector of Kyiv Polytechnic University Anatoliy Melnichenko and Vice-Rector for International Relations Andriy Shysholin presented the university and emphasized that the scientific diaspora is an important bridge for the development of international cooperation, as these are people who not only care about Ukraine, but are also ready to facilitate partnerships between Austrian colleagues and Ukrainian universities.
During the meeting, the following topics were discussed:
📌 Areas of cooperation (joint projects and involvement of Ukrainian scientists abroad in projects with scientists from KPI, lectures, etc.)
📌 Possible options for the university's participation in maintaining the connection of children with Ukraine who are in Austria due to the full-scale invasion. In particular, regarding the involvement of Ukrainian children in preparatory courses at Igor Sikorsky KPI.
We would like to thank the Ukrainian scientific diaspora in Austria for the open dialogue and the Embassy of Ukraine in the Republic of Austria for supporting Ukrainian science and making this meeting possible!
