For me, this academic mobility was unexpected, because I applied for the programme through a call for applications, and it happened just a week before the event. However, this spontaneous decision brought me a very useful experience.

The exchange programme included a language internship under the English Language Courses with Elements of Sustainable Development Vocabulary programme (as part of the NAWA project) and lasted one academic week in September. Solomiia Perepechai (3rd year student) and Kateryna Barandych (Associate Professor) also took part in this mobility from the Faculty of Instrumentation.
All classes were held in a face-to-face format, which was already a bit unusual and difficult for us. In addition, everything was conducted in English. And although this format was not completely new to us, our brains perceived it as a very interesting experiment. The teachers were very friendly and ready to answer all the questions as many times as each participant needed. It was also interesting that we were the youngest among the participants. This was a bit awkward, but also interesting: it seemed that the programme was more focused on the needs of undergraduate students and teachers. However, it was a great experience for us, and we are extremely happy that we did well.
We worked in pairs on assignments, created presentations, defended projects, played Bingo, Crocodile, solved crosswords, and did other exercises. In general, the course was focused on sustainable development, which is extremely relevant for our country. At the end of the internship, we created final projects based on the material we had learned on a given topic. It was especially nice that thanks to our educational programme at the university, we already had a certain knowledge base, which was very useful, and we would like to thank our teachers for that.
In our extracurricular activities, we were organised a tour of the campus and the beautiful city of Warsaw, we went on a boat and got an incredible amount of positive emotions from the trip.
When you get into the environment of a foreign university and realise that the whole world opens up to you thanks to your knowledge, it is very motivating. Therefore, I am personally grateful to the Mobility Department of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, to the people who made this mobility possible and provided support throughout the process, and I thank life for the incredible moments of happiness in our difficult time for the country.
