A full-scale war unleashed by the Russian aggressor has been going on in Ukraine for almost two years. There are many employees, students and graduates of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute among the defenders of the Motherland. Like thousands of our compatriots, they, without sparing their health and lives, show resilience and heroism in the fight against the racist invaders. Unfortunately, Ukraine is losing its best sons in this war.
The sorrowful list of Kyiv Polytechnic students who have fallen in recent months has been replenished with new names. These are Dmytro Ponomarchuk, a 2005 graduate of IHF, Yaroslav Bychuk, a 2016 graduate of PBF, Artem Znak, a 2010 graduate of FAKS, Andrii Khabinets, a 1994 graduate of the Welding Faculty, and Taras Kutnyi, a 2022 graduate of FSP, FIOT student Yegor Veklenko, KPI graduate Oleksiy Len, Mechanical Engineering Faculty graduate in 1993 Konstantin Sinyakevich, MMI graduate in 2014 Oleksandr Sinelnikov, IAT graduate Oleksiy Korobkov, FEA student Oleg Ptashnyk.
