For the first time in the history of Ukrainian Antarctic expeditions, a polar explorer defended his scientific work directly from the Akademik Vernadsky station. This is Andrii Olefir, the first KPI scientist to complete his second master's degree in Antarctica.

He received his first education at Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute and began his postgraduate studies here, conducting research in the same scientific areas in which he is currently working at the station: studying the Earth's magnetic field and geolocation.

🎥 The unique story of the trip to Antarctica by Andrii Olefir, a graduate student of the Institute of IEE, is in the KPI podcast.
