☑️ Educational process
The testing session is over. The results are satisfactory. About 80% of the 1st year bachelor's students passed the test session in full; 2nd year - about 62%; 3rd and 4th year - almost 50%. Among master's students, approximately 70% passed the exams in full.
The University has received a draft Procedure for Admitting Applicants for 2024. The document is undergoing a public discussion. Among the proposed innovations are mandatory external entrance exams for applicants to the 12th master's degree program in Information Technology.
On January 18-19, an online visit of experts will take place as part of the international accreditation of two FEL educational programs.
Work has begun on the schedule of classes for the spring semester.
Postgraduate students in their final year of study have begun preparing their dissertations for defense. At the same time, one-time special councils are being formed.
The candidacies of 8 postgraduate students were submitted for the award of an academic scholarship of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.
The Institute of IEE continues to develop a new OP on humanitarian demining within the program "Environmental Protection Technologies".
☑️ Scientific activity
The Center for International Projects has published the results of the TOP-200 Ukraine 2023 rating. Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute was ranked first in the direction of "Science and involvement of universities in international and domestic research projects".
☑️ International activities
Active cooperation between Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute and the University of Sheffield (UK) continues. The parties are working on joint project applications for international online learning, organizing teacher training, and new research projects.
Kyiv Polytechnic is planning new projects with Japan in the fields of energy, heavy industry, education, information technology, as well as the program for the restoration of Ukrainian cities and regions.
12 project applications are being prepared for participation in competitions under the Horizon Europe program and 1 project application for participation in the NATO Science for Peace and Security program.
☑️ Campus improvement
Work continues to increase the number of shelters on campus.
A separate wing for people with disabilities will appear in the 1st KPI dormitory.
The official opening of the smart shelter in the KPI Scientific and Technical Library is scheduled for January 25.
Ajax Systems donates a new batch of equipment for laboratories in the 1st and 18th academic buildings to Kyiv Polytechnic.
KPI is preparing to hold an All-Ukrainian chess tournament.
Kyiv Polytechnic students continue to actively volunteer and help the Armed Forces. A new batch of trench candles and elongated antennas for walkie-talkies was sent to our military by the KPI student trade union organization.
