Mykhailo Kravchuk, the author of the first dictionary of Ukrainian mathematical terminology, was born today. He is a world-famous KPI professor who made computers, television, and 3D modeling a reality.
Kravchuk was a true patriot and during the years of the communist totalitarian regime, he was the first to give lectures in Ukrainian. And he paid the price for it. For 20 years, Mykhailo Kravchuk worked on a great mathematical discovery, but it was buried by the Soviet authorities with him, somewhere in the distant Kolyma.
🎥 KPImedia has created a special issue dedicated to the birthday of the famous mathematician who raised a whole generation of world-famous inventors.
