The Kyiv Polytechnic unveiled memorial plaques to three graduates of the Faculty of Sociology and Law who stood up to defend Ukraine in 2014 and gave their lives for its freedom and independence.
Artem Klymov, a graduate of the Conflict Resolution and Mediation program. After studying at Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, he graduated from the military academy and joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Artem was heroically killed in the first weeks of the large-scale invasion while performing a combat mission.
Volodymyr Knyazev, a graduate of the Administrative Management program, became a lieutenant of the patrol police. He died defending the territorial integrity of Ukraine.
Taras Karpiuk, a graduate of the Administrative Management program, was an active participant in the Orange Revolution and the Revolution of Dignity. He died as a member of a volunteer sabotage group in the territory of a hostile state.
