Sixty-one Kyiv Polytechnic students died during the Revolution of Dignity and the Russian-Ukrainian war, defending their country. Forty-seven of them died since the beginning of the full-scale invasion.

On the Day of Defenders of Ukraine, KPI honored the memory of the fallen soldiers with a minute of silence and laying flowers at the memorial to the Heroes of Polytechnics near the Church of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker.

After the war is over, a memorial with the names of KPI students who gave their lives for the freedom of their country will be opened in the park of the Unconquered on campus. Currently, their photos can be seen in the lobby of the university's main building.

May they rest in peace and eternal memory.
