Dear Kyiv polytechnicians! Every year on November 10, all progressive humanity celebrates World Science Day. The tradition of honouring scientists for their selfless labour for the sake of human progress was started by UNESCO in 2001.
The purpose of distinguishing the work of scientists is the restoration of national and international obligations in the field of science for peace and development for the benefit of the world community. This day is also a great opportunity to popularise the achievements of scientists, and to attract young people to the world of science.
Many generations of Kyiv polytechnicians have made and are still making a significant contribution to the world treasure-house of science and technical progress, and some of them, such as Igor Sikorsky, Serhiy Korolev, Volodymyr Chelomey, father and son Paton, and others, have, without exaggeration, changed the world with their achievements. The current generation of Kyiv polytechnic students is bringing Ukraine's victory in the struggle for its freedom and independence closer with their work.
Advanced science cannot be separated from proper education at Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, which develops curiosity among students, uses the latest Information and Communication Technology achievements, is a key factor in innovation, and helps solve complex interdisciplinary problems.
Dear Kyiv polytechnicians! I sincerely thank you for your noble, diligent work in the field of science and the training of new generations of designers, engineers, and scientists. I wish you peaceful skies, new achievements, talented students, and fulfilment of all bold plans and dreams!
Happy World Science Day, dear friends!
