The IT-sphere in Ukraine is one of the most dynamic and promising. According to experts, the domestic IT market will grow steadily by 20-30% annually, while the number of specialists will double by 2024. The basis for further IT development is training specialists and creating new opportunities for their professional growth.
Today, Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute is a leader in IT education in Ukraine. Young people enter our University to gain knowledge, experience. Beginners also want to get an opportunity to create and bring to market their innovations. Dymitr Lukinskyi is a third-year FHPE student of the Software Engineering specialty. The student is a holder of the President of Ukraine scholarship. Besides, he is proud to study at the University “that provides many opportunities for developing and learning, has unique student exchange and double degree programs”.
“Since IT is rapidly developing," says Dymitr, “I am sure that software engineers will always be in high demand." The student added that his specialty combined his favorite physics and mathematics taught thoroughly at Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute. Also, the student is keen on computer technology, programming, and trends in artificial intelligence.
According to the FHPE dean's office, Dymitr Lukinskyi’s rating is 95,915 based on the results of the previous session. Teachers describe him as self-motivated, persistent, purposeful, and hard-working. They say that “among Dymitr's interests are not only in software engineering research but also in ecology and energy, which are fundamental to the current world. His research is flexible and goes beyond one topic”.
Dymitr’s success in olympiads and participation in scientific and technical conferences also prove the diversity of the student’s interests. For instance, he is the winner (first place): Internet Olympiads in English and Physics (2020, 2021), Internet Olympiads in English and Mathematics (2021), the winner (second place) in the Internet Olympiad in English and Chemistry (2021), the winner (third place) in the University Student Olympiad in English (2021).
The results of Dymitr Lukinsky's scientific activity are announced at student conferences: “Outstanding achievements of science and technology”, 2019 (report “The changing world of power generation and consumption”); XXI International Student Online Conference “Science and Technology of the XXI Century”, 2020 (“Thermonuclear power generation”); All-Ukrainian Scientific and Technical Conference of Young Scientists, Undergraduates, and Students “Scientific and Technical Progress in Transport”, 2021 (“Abandoning ICE - is the world ready?”).
“I am extremely grateful to the teachers from the Intellect Lyceum, who boosted me for studying at Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute”, said Dymitr. “I also extend my deepest thanks and appreciation to Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute teachers who not only give new knowledge, skills, and help with advice. They inspire students, evoke admiration for their subject, open the unknown world of science so that you want to dive into it and find your inspiration”. Indeed, Dymitr could not say better: members of our University love knowledge and involve others in this love.
