An FCE Doctoral student Ph.D. Igor Ivitskyi has recently won the All-Ukrainian competition “Young Scientist of the Year” in the Best Business Case of a Scientist nomination. He has developed a method of launching and optimizing advertising. He is also the author of courses and remained a creative force behind the online school of Google advertising (https://ivitskiy.ua). What caused such a rapid rise of the young scientist?

As you know, our University is a member of the Microsoft IT Academy Program. It is an international program to support teachers who use Microsoft software products and train IT professionals at universities. Moreover, the program gives access to advanced IT courses and certification. Five years ago, within the program framework, he successfully passed the qualifying exam and received an international certificate of a Microsoft Certified Educator. He is also one of the few in Ukraine certified specialists in information technology and Internet marketing of Google Inc.

“I made my first steps in developing online business when I was a student,” says Igor. “I launched sites, optimized and promoted them. Working on my thesis and delving into mathematics and statistics, I noted that their laws are inviolable. They work the same for both science and applied fields - Internet marketing, contextual advertising, SEO (a set of measures to improve the site and its ranking in search engines). When I used mathematical modeling, I realized that the same methods can calculate the behavior of visitors to the site.

However, the young scientist was devoted not only to business. A hard-working and persistent researcher, he immersed himself in scientific research and deservedly received state-level awards for his achievements. In 2016 and 2018, he got awarded the Scholarship of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine for young scientists who work at Universities and have significant achievements in studying significant scientific problems. In 2018, he got awarded the Prize of the President of Ukraine for young scientists for the project “Creating innovative computer-integrated technological complexes for the production of intelligent polymeric and silicate composite materials”. In 2019, Igor Ivitskyi, Associate Professor of the Department of Chemical, Polymer and Silicate Engineering, got the Kyiv Mayor's Prize for Special Achievements of the Talented Youth in the Development of the Capital of Ukraine - the Hero City of Kyiv. For four years, in a row (2015-2018), the scientist became the winner of the university competition “Young Teacher-Researcher”. In addition, in 2018, he became a member of the Council of the International Academic Alliance of the Silk Road University Union (Xi'an, China).

Igor Ivitskyi speaks proudly about his pet project - the online school of Google advertising: “The school was founded in 2019. Today, more than 1,000 students from 12 countries have studied there. Our students are small and medium business owners who create their ads on Google to attract customers and grow their business. The official status of Google Partner in Ukraine allows me to be the first to know all the news and give the latest information to my students. Owing to a scientific method that uses the principles of mathematical and computer modeling, I was able to create my approach to setting ads on Google. Advertising generated by this method works in 73 countries in 16 languages. During this time, we have opened 10 job positions and reached UAH 1 million of monthly turnover.”

It is worthy of note that Igor Ivitskyi is the author of free courses to support Ukrainian entrepreneurs. “Digital Marketing” (on the Prometheus platform) - a course designed to help small and medium-sized businesses, and “How to Build a Business Online” based on the project of the US Government USAID “Economic Support to Eastern Ukraine”. At the same time, the expert actively collaborates with scientists from the United States, Turkey, Spain, Portugal, China, Pakistan and has completed internships in these countries. He is a member of the scientific committees of international technical conferences, including the MCME in Hangzhou (China), ICSEM in Nha Trang (Vietnam), EAME, and CCIIS in Beijing.

Last fall, a young scientist and entrepreneur entered a Doctoral training of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute "to continue his scientific search".
