1st year FIOT student Borovyk Olga won gold at the International Festival of Engineering Sciences and Technologies (I-FEST).
I-FEST was organized by the Tunisian Association of Science and Technology. This is the largest competition for research projects on the African continent. This year it was attended by 1,000 participants from more than 40 countries.
Olga presented the work "Lens with variable optical characteristics".
The invention is two elastic films, the distance between which is filled with glycerin. The paper derives the formula for the dependence of the optical power on the changed volume and vice versa.
