Since June 2019, Associate Professor of the Department of Theory and Practice of Management Yana Tsymbalenko is Authorized Person for preventing and counteracting to corruption at the university.
The main task of the authorized person is to monitor the academic staff and students obeying anti-corruption laws at Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute.
The anti-corruption officer has other responsibilities and authorities: checking the status of filing declarations; reports considering of corruption possible cases; considering of potential conflict of interest in the work of University staff, conducting explanatory and methodological work, and informing the Rector of the University or authorized state bodies about corruption cases.
Units or individuals performing functions of anti-corruption - is a requirement of active legislation, in particular Article 131 of the Law of Ukraine “On Prevention of Corruption”: autonomous and functionally independent structural subdivisions (persons), which are entrusted with the functions of prevention and detection of corruption, are formed (determined) in state institutions and organizations.
