“The strategies of developing libraries: from an idea to implementation” - the title of the II International Scientific and Practical Conference, which took place online on October 6-9, 2020 hosted by Hryhorii Denysenko Scientific and Technical Library of the National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute”. The conference was organized by the Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute Library and the All-Ukrainian Public Organization "Ukrainian Library Association" (ULA), the sponsors – the publishing houses "Lira-K", "Sumit-Knyha", "BookChef", the publishing House "Kondor", the partners - Unicheck Ukraine and Clarivate Analytics ".
The conference brought together 170 unique participants from Ukraine, Poland, Kazakhstan, Lithuania and Belarus. They represented various libraries - national, public, children's, school, scientific, university, library and information centers; various organizations - embassies, ministries, charitable foundations, publishing houses.
Oksana Brui, Director of Scientific and Technical Library of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, President of the ULA, opened the conference. In her introductory speech, she emphasized the uniqueness of the topic, content and practical orientation of the event.
