On September 18, a regular meeting of the project development team of the Strategy of Higher Education in Ukraine for 2021-2031 was held. The meeting took the form of a videoconference chaired by Mykola Kyzym, Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine.
Nowadays, Kyiv Polytechnic Institute is an engine for training competitive staff in technical fields. Moreover, the capacities among students in the scientific sphere need to be constantly increased.
Mykhailo Zgurovsky, Rector of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, stated in such a way at the meeting.
"Society is undergoing radical changes, so should education. It must meet society's demands for training human resources, which will build the economy, social relations and develop the country. Like our youth, like the future of our country. Therefore, the Strategy of Higher Education is aimed at training human resources on a human basis, " said Zgurovsky.
Education programmes and curricula, according to the head of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, must take into account the latest scientific achievements, and the results of scientific researches must be included in the content of student education. As a result, they will be competitive in Ukrainian and international high-tech business market, engineering in particular.
On September 18, the interim version of the Strategy was discussed and the Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute delegates made their particular offers. Proposals of other Ukrainian universities were also considered.
The Strategy of Higher Education of Ukraine for 2021–2031 has been developed for two months on order of the Decree of the President of Ukraine. Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute is responsible for the subgroup "Scientific and scientific-technical activities in the process of pursuing higher education".
The final decisions will be formed at the further meetings of the project development team. The Strategy of Higher Education of Ukraine for 2021–2031 must be approved by November 1, 2020. Scholars and students will be able to get to know all the paragraphs in detail.
