On September 10, Vice-Rector for International Relations, Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine Serhiy Sydorenko and Assistant Rector Bohdan Duda visited the Embassy of Uzbekystan and met with the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan to Ukraine Alisher Kurmanov. The participants of the meeting discussed the issues of cooperation development of the National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute” with the diplomatic mission of Uzbekystan in the field of science and education, including the possibility of increasing the number of citizens of this country who come to study at the university. The following steps were recognized as possible mechanisms to increase the cohorts of Uzbek youth studying at Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute:
- traditional international marketing and recruitment on a contractual basis;
- development of cooperation with the Scholarship Fund for Support of Talented Youth of Uzbekystan for Studying Abroad;
- establishing a campus of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute in the Republic of Uzbekystan.
First Secretary-Consul of the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekystan in Ukraine Bakhodir Ibrahimov will further determine specific mechanisms for resolving this issue in cooperation with our university.
