Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute was visited by First Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Mykola Kyzym and his assistants. The talks between the Deputy Minister and the university administration focused on the Situation Centre, the space program and the Sikorsky Challenge innovation system.
The guest was shown the Information and Analytical Situation Centre, told about its capabilities in predicting the consequences of social and economic processes.
"The situation centre should serve not only the university, but also the whole country in order to make recommendations for the Cabinet of Ministers, ministries, etc. Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, together with the university, will come to authorities with a proposal to create this centre as a national one, "Mykola Kyzym said.
In addition to the centre, the Deputy Minister was presented with the Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute space program and the innovative ecosystem Sikorsky Challenge. Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute Rector Michael Zgurovsky stressed the need of support for such projects from Ukrainian investors.
Mr. Kyzym was also told about the developments of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute in the defence industry. "Enterprises do not always know about the possibilities of science," says the rector of the university. And stresses out: The Sikorsky Challenge Festival of Innovative Projects can successfully serve as a neutral platform for cooperation between defence departments and authors of progressive developments and business representatives.
“I’m astonished with your work. I think that Ukraine has a potential of a country with a highly developed technologies. Therefore, the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine will fully support all the projects that are implemented at your university and other universities in the country, "Mykola Kyzym summed up.
