Rector of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute Mykhailo Zgurovsky made a presentation "Mathematics and System Analysis for the Economy and Security of the State", which referred to the formation of a system method and its necessity in making decisions important for the state. He also presented scenarios of socio-economic development of Ukraine for the medium term until 2025 and for the long term until 2030.
The members of the Eminent Council highly appreciated the scientific forecast of the development of the country and society. « We appreciate these scenarios and developments based on our national interests and profound scientific analysis», – commented Kostyantyn Hryshchenko, a member of the Council and Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine (2012-2014).
According to Volodymyr Ogryzko, a member of the Council, a diplomat and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine (2007-2009), system analysis tools should be used in strategic government decisions in Ukraine.
« I would really like the achievements of the university to form the basis of economic, political and social development strategy of our state», – said Volodymyr Ogryzko.
The meeting participants also discussed the prospects of creating a situation center in Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute and its role in developing a model analysis of processes in the economic and social sphere of Ukraine.
