From June 25 to July 4 at the Mechanical Engineering Institute of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, the Fourth Summer School “Mechatronics in Engineering 2019” was held. This event organized on the basis of the Department of Applied Hydro-Aeromechanics and Mechatronics. In fact, this school created to prepare students for participation in the All-Ukrainian Olympiad “Mechatronics in Engineering”, which is held annually in the autumn. More than 40 students from 11 technical institutions of Ukraine pre-registered to participate in the school. According to the results of homework, which students received in advance, 26 participants were invited to the Summer School.
Students from nine different Ukrainian universities came to gain experience. It was students from Vinnytsia National Technical University, Zaporozhye National Technical University, Ukrainian National Forestry University, Lviv Polytechnic National University, Zhukovskiy State Aerospace University “Kharkov Aviation Institute”, Odessa National Academy of Food Technologies, Khmelnytskyi National University, Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design, and, of course, from Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute. The training was interesting and fully consistent with the intensive school program. Professors O.P. Hubarev and O.V. Uzunov, seniors lecturers K.O Bielikov, A.M. Murashchenko T.O. Ustymenko, and associate professor O.S. Hanpantsurova held classes on pneumatic systems management, controllers in the programming languages STL, LD and ST, and control of mobile mechanics.
Workbooks, a set of equipment, additional and informational materials were provided by the participants of “Festo Didactic”, which is a long-standing partner of the MMI faculty. The material was delivered to students at an intense pace with maximum coverage of relevant topics. After intensive training, the coordinators of the Summer School, professors O.P. Hubarev and O.V. Uzunov presented the certificates to the students.
