On June, 5 the XV International Scientific and Technical Conference "Problems of Modern Electrical Engineering" was opened at the Hall of Meetings of the Academic Council of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute.
The conference is attended by more than 100 representatives of academic, industry research institutions, higher education institutions from Ukraine, Poland, Russia, Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia, Canada. Participants prepared 128 reports, the theses of which are published in the journal "Technical electrodynamics".
The first pro-rector of Igor Sikorsky KPI Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine Yuriy Yakymenko greeted the participants. The introductory speech was made by the Head of the Delegation of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Kyiv Henrik Sobchuk and the academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine Oleksandr Kyrylenko.
At the plenary session of the conference 4 reports on several directions of problems of modern electrical engineering were heard. In the afternoon the conference will continue divided into five sections: “Theoretical Electrical Engineering”, “Electric Power Complexes and Systems”, “Electrotechnical Complexes and Systems”, “Power Electronics” and “Electromechanical Energy Conversion”.
The work of the conference will be completed on June 8.
