A shining girl - that is an impression Kateryna Koval makes at first sight. Apparently, a lot of professions would suit her - both creative, and humanities, and also technical. But she decided to choose an extremely necessary, though not very popular metrology, standardization and certification. Indeed, it is difficult to imagine industrial, administerial, economic, etc. activities without quality control of products, their standardization and certification, administrative and inspectoral activities at government agencies, etc.
" I have chosen Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, because it's the most famous University with well-developed infrastructure, with Schools that achieve the World Class Quality" - says Kateryna - " I was sure, that I would receive good knowledge and high quality training. It is place where the material is thoroughly taught and people are interested in making us experts with the latest knowledge. The atmosphere at the university is supportive, adjusts to studying. Also, one of the reasons for my entering the university was that my parents had also studied here."
The student is assiduous in her studying, discovering something new, and that allowed her to win the second place at the II round of the All-Ukrainian Competition in the "Metrology, standardization and certification" field, which was held in Lviv. She enjoyed the business atmosphere of the tournament, round table meetings, where representatives of HEEs showed presentations on educational and scientific activities of their universities, held a discussion concerning the training of specialists in metrology, standardization and certification in Ukraine, discussed the subject of students' scientific research, of practical developments, shared the experience of organizing students' research work, exchanged experience of methodological work in the field of "Metrology, standardization and certification". It was such a pleasure to get acquainted with colleagues who study in different universities of Ukraine, she enjoyed a cultural program. After all, the historical monuments of the city leave no one indifferent.
In the future, Kateryna hopes to work as the specialist of this kind of field. "As the meteorologist controls the measuring equipment, ensures and evaluates the quality of products, controls the operating conditions of the equipment, which are enshrined in the standards and regulations, I would be able to work in a lot of directions, because metrology is relevant to any field of human activity, it saves money and guarantees public safety", - she believes.
