A separate section contained information about the publication of the second information compendium "Innovative developments of the universities and scientific institutions of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine."
Mykhailo Ilchenko told at the meeting: “The compendium included information about 248 new commercially attractive developments from 32 higher education institutions, among them about 26 developments are of our university. Thus, 14 universities are presented in the compendium for the first time. The preliminary structuring of information about innovative developments according to the results of the foresight research of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute was saved in the second issue. The research discovered the clusters of the national economy with which Ukraine could be interesting and integrate into international cooperation. The number of the developments in each thematic section of the collection (there are 10 of them) is such: Agro industrial complex and Biotechnologies - 40; Scientific Support of Security and Defense - 15; Information and Communication Technologies - 19; New Materials and Nanotechnologies - 29; Energy and Energy Efficiency - 23; Machines Engineering - 28; Instrumentation Engineering - 21; Technologies of construction and vehicles - 28; Health Care - 17; Rational use of nature – 28”.
The cover of the compendium contains information about five innovative developments that have gained high recognition both in Ukraine and abroad in different years. Also, there was a place for the image of the postage stamp of the 2018 issue. It presents a fundamentally new electric motor - a piezoelectric motor, created in Kyiv Polytechnic Institute in 1964. Over 200 copyright certificates and patents were obtained for this invention, including 50 in the countries, where millions of piezo motors of various purposes are now made.
Among other projects that can be accessed by each reader without opening a book, the work "Biologization of agriculture as a way of ensuring a high quality and safety of products of agro-industrial complex". This development solves the problem of soil fertility restoration through the scientific research by the scientists of National University of Bioresources and Nature Management. The development was honored by the Award of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine for the development and implementation of innovative technologies in 2018.
Besides, the project of Sumy National Agrarian University about solving the problem of environmental pollution with plastic waste was presented on the cover. The project ‘FoodBIOPack’ won in the nomination ‘Sustainability award’ in Copenhagen. The scientists developed the eco-packing for food products, which can then be used as organic fertilizer. The Ukrainian researchers’ idea interested potential investors from Portugal, Egypt and Denmark. It was financially supported in Ukraine as an actual national start-up (0,5 million UAH).
There is also information about the domestic technologies’ complex development aimed at the production of new types of adaptogenic immunomodulating, anti-stress effect, adequate physical and psycho-emotional overload and at the intensification of technological processes. It was performed at National University of Food Technologies and at Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics. The development was honored by the Award of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine for the development and implementation of innovative technologies in 2018.
Also, the project ‘Vibration Mill Development For Mechanoactivation Of Loose Material’ by the scientists of Vinnytsia National Agrarian University was presented on the cover.
