On January 23, Rector of the Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Mykhailo Zghurovsky was elected Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Ukroboronprom State Concern at the meeting of the Supervisory Board of Ukroboronprom State Concern.
Lieutenant-General Yaroslav Skalko, ex-Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Air Force, was elected Vice-Chairman.
At the same time, the Supervisory Council called on the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine to appoint two more members of the Supervisory Board as soon as possible, which should be foreign experts of world level with international military and managerial experience. At the same time, one of these foreign specialists should be the second Vice-Chairman.
The Supervisory Board also approved the report of the Director General Roman Romanov for the current period and thanked for the high level of organization of the work done and the results achieved.
The Supervisory Board is the supreme management body of Ukroboronprom. Its powers include the approval of the Concern's development strategy and activities, monitoring of the fulfillment by the Concern and its participants of the tasks assigned to them in the sphere of the defense industry complex and military-technical cooperation, definition of investment policy.
In addition, the Supervisory Council controls the effective use and safety of state property objects transferred to the management of the Concern, the implementation of the financial and economic activities of the Concern and performs other tasks in accordance with the Charter of Ukroboronprom./p>
