The final second stage of the All-Ukrainian Student Olympiad on Radio Engineering "VSORT-2017" was held on April 4-7 at the Vinnytsa national technical university. The best students from the 16 higher educational institutions of Kyiv, Vinnytsya, Chernigov, Zaporizhia, Cherkasy, Kharkiv, Zhytomyr, Odessa, Lviv, Chernivtsi, Khmelnytsky gathered to win the title of the best students.
The organizers have prepared an interesting tasks and a rich cultural program. In an appeal to the participants of the Olympiad, the Director of the Department of Scientific and Technological Development of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine noted that the highly qualified engineer has become very rare, but desirable and high paid employee in the territory of our state.
Young researchers competed in a theoretical tour and a creative competition for applied developments. Also an exhibition-competition of student’s radio amateur works was held. The team of the Radio Engineering Faculty of the KPI named after Igor Sikorsky (Kirill Sokolov, Lydia Okusha, Volodymyr Dumansky, Viktoriya Chvkova) took second place. First place won the team of the Vinnitsa National Technical University.
Kirill Sokolov (group RA-41) took the third place in an individual score among 60 participants, took the 3rd place in the discipline "Electrodynamics and the propagation of radio waves" and received the diplomas «For the non-standard solution of the problem «in the discipline «Electrodynamics and Radio Broadcasting and For the eagerness of victory»
Lidiya Okusha (group RA-31) took the first place in the discipline "Digital Devices", received a diploma "For the non-standard solution of the problem" in the discipline "Digital devices". Volodymyr Dumansky (group RS-41) took the second place from the discipline "Signals and processes in radio engineering", received the certificates "For the non-standard solution of the problem" in the discipline "Analogue electronic devices" and "For the eagerness of victory". Victoria Chvykova (group RS-42) took the second place in the discipline "Electrodynamics and the propagation of radio waves".
The winners and prize-winners of the Olympiad were awarded with valuable gifts (mobile phones, power banks, modern gadgets, subscription to the magazines "Radio Amateur"and "Chip News ", etc.). The leading companies in the radio engineering and telecommunication industry Kyivstar, Melexis, Gemicle held the presentations for the participants of the Olympiad on the activities of the companies and technology they use.
