On June 12th, 2017, a regular meeting of the Scientific Council of the University took place.
It began with the greetings of O.V. Borysov due to the awarding of the honorary title "Honored Worker of Education of Ukraine". The members of the Scientific Council also congratulated the jubilee: Vice Director for Scientific Work of the National Academy of Sciences of the IASA, Ph.D, Professor N.D. Pankratova, Head of the Department of General and Experimental Physics, Ph.D., Professor Yu.I. Horobets, Head of the Department of Mathematical Methods of Information Protection, Ph.D Professor M.M. Savchuk and Head of the Department of Automation and Control in Technical Systems, Ph.D, Professor S.F. Telenyk.
After that, the Scientific Council expressed official gratitude for the significant contribution to the development of sport traditions to the student of the fourth year of FBMI V.V. Ivakhnenko and awarded with cup the captain of the team of university from the futsal for the victory in the Kyiv championship among the teams of physical culture of students.
On the first place of the agenda was the report of the first vice-rector/ academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine Yu.I. Yakymenko about the preparation for the 2017/2018 school year. Yuriy Ivanovych provided information about the development of training and work curricula and main recommendations for the organization and improvement of the educational process. It was also reported for the units to be ready examination before the new school year and a schedule of cultural and organizational events.
Then came the dean of the IFF, Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, P.I. Loboda with the report "Education is the foundation of the future. To the 100th anniversary of H.H. Yefymenko." Petro Ivanovych told about the way of life of the former Minister of Higher and Secondary Special Education of the USSR, noting that Heorhii Efymenko never broke the ties with the Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, was the leader and active participant in the methodological seminar of the IFF teaching staff.
At the end, the members of the Scientific Council considered the competition issues and current affairs. In particular, opening of new specialties and launching of new master’s programs was approved. One of the new directions for master’s training of a specialization in Public Procurement Management was launched.
