Oleksandr Kryshtal, the fifth-year student of FBMI, is a future rehabilitation professional. In particular, he plans to work with designing and operation of equipment for the improvement in the quality of life - recovery, correction and sustentation of a motor function. And in summer the student pursues his hobbies – tourism, mountain hiking and hitch-hiking.
We have gotten acquainted in “Globus” sports camp in the Carpathians where Oleksandr was working as an instructor. He has fallen in love with cloud-capped peaks since school. And in school he joined the National Scouting Organization “Plast”. From the first year of studying Oleksandr has joined the tourist club “Globus”, and, according to him, it has expanded his horizons. Soon he began to go at hikes of different categories; Oleksandr has already explored the high mountains trails of Georgia and Caucasus. At home, in the Carpathians, the young instructor takes beginners on summer and winter hikes, teaches and helps admire the beauty and the majesty of mountains and find out more about the history of their homeland. He likes remote and unbeaten tracks such as Chornohora, Gorgany and Beskid Mountains, such places where you can absorb the freedom of mountain peaks, strikingly beautiful views, fragrance of thyme, thus, moss and raspberry, thousands of the shades of green and blue, roaring of mountain streams, flows, wind and rain.
“World is much bigger than we can imagine,” the traveler claims. “You don’t need much money to travel. Friends,” he always says to his trainees and colleagues, “don’t be afraid and don`t restrict yourself. Screw up your courage and make the first leap in the dark – come to “Globus”. You will know it from the first hike whether mountain peaks tempt you.”
Usually his trainees come back to their instructor next season, and in time they also begin to teach and inspire. Now Oleksandr dreams about high mountains and the tremendous world. There are many ascensions and victories in his future. The persistent conquer the peaks.
