Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Republic Sierra Leone (concurrently) John Sahr Francis Yambasu visited NTUU “KPI” in July, 17.
Pro-rector of NTUU “KPI” for international cooperation, correspondent member of Ukrainian NAS Sergii Sydorenko, director of university Center of international education Volodymyr Koval, rector’s assistant Bohdan Duda etc. had meeting with the head of diplomatic mission of Republic of Sierra Leone. Meeting participants discussed the issues of engineering specialists’ training (in the first instance power engineers) that are necessary for this West-African country as well as possible instruments of cooperation between its ministries and companies and NTUU “KPI”. Some organizational issues of cooperation and its particular aspects have been discussed at the meeting. In particular, the language of studying for students from Sierra Leone has been in question as well: since 2016 students from other countries within 5 specialties will be able to master chosen specialties not only in Ukrainian but in English as well and since 2017 all faculties and institutes of the university will be provided with English teaching for foreigners.
After discussion, the guest examined exhibitions of State polytechnic museum at NTUU “KPI” and its department of aviation and space science n.a. I. Sikorskyi.
