XIV Ukraine-wide scientific and practical conference «Theoretical and applied problems of physics, mathematics and informatics" started its work on 26th of May in NTUU "KPI".
Scientists, fellow workers, postgraduates and students take part in the conference; it is expected to hear to 117 reports. Representatives of higher educational establishments of Lviv, Kharkiv, Dnipro cities as well as from the Department of geographic sciences of Maryland from the USA are among the guests of the conference.
Pro-rector for scientific and academic work, Professor Oleksii Novikov delivered his speech at the opening ceremony.
On the opening day the participants heard to 3 plenary reports: "Gravitation waves in the Space: forecasts and detection" ( Doctor of physical and mathematical sciences, senior staff scientist, director of Space Observatory of Lviv national university n. a. Ivan Franco, B.S. Novosiadlyi, Lviv city), Kolmogorov-Sinai entropy and its application in dynamic systems" (Doctor of physics and mathematical sciences, senior staff scientist, leading scientific worker of the algebra and topology department of the Mathematics Institute of NAS in Ukraine, S. I. Maksymenko), "Topical tasks of cybernetics security" (PhD of physical and mathematical sciences, senior staff scientist, first deputy director, associate professor of the chair of information security of Physical and Technical institute of NTUU " KPI", S. A. Smyrnov).
The scientists will be working according to the following sections: "Topical issues of modern physics", "Physics of energy systems", "Mathematical and computer modeling. Mathematical ways of cyber security", "Physical and technical aspects of cyber security", "Systems and technologies of cyber security", "Theoretical and applied problems of crypto-graphical information security", "Models and technologies of Earth observation data handling".
The conference will be hold for 3 days!
