The competitions in sport aerobics for the championship among the faculties upon the Olympics Program of the "KPI" was held on April 20 in the aerobics and fitness gymnasium of the TSFVS. The tournament began with the parade of participating teams. The athletes were welcomed by the chief judge of the competition, the senior teacher, responsible for the educational aerobics Department S. Ye. Tolmachova; the head of the Physical Education Department Ph. D. H. L. Boyko; the assistant professor of sports perfection T. V. Pasichna.
The competition was attended by 12 teams from FBMI, FIVT, FMM, FL, PTI, HTF, VPI, FMF, in total – 47 participants. The panel of judges consisting of the members of the sports aerobics team of the "KPI" T. V. Pasichna, S. Ye. Tolmachova and A. Yu. Chehovetska evaluated the students’ performance according to the following criteria: aerobic complex performance technique, artistry, complexity of the required elements of the groups "A", "B", "C". Before the performances of teams, the exhibition gala was presented to the audience.
Competitions were held in two rounds: qualifying and final. After the first round, the five strongest teams were determined: FBMI, PTI-1 FL-1, FL-2 FMM 2. They competed for the prizes in the second round.
After the final performance the winners of the competition were defined: the I place was shared between the students of FBMI – K. O. Korniyenko, A. V. Makarenko, M. Yu. Reznikova and FTI – Yu. O. Sauk, K. M. Rishko, N. M. Samara. The FL-1 team, consisting of: V. V. Velyka, A. V. Matviychuk, M. N. Dovbenko, O. S. Dvornyk took the II place. The FL-2 team, consisting of: I. O. Chepurda, V. V. Rudkovska, A. O. Hromnytska won the III place.
The winning teams were awarded diplomas, cups and medals. The competitions were held in a friendly festive atmosphere, the participants showed a high level of technique of the aerobic exercises and elements of complexity. Each team had its own uniqueness owing to the choice of sport uniform and original music.
