The prize of Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine was created for the most talented young scientists in the field of basic and applied research, scientific and technological development established in 2008. It is awarded to young scientists who have significant scientific achievements - were entirely new scientific results, developed new tools, devices, equipment set up new facilities and other. Winners are receive diplomas and badges and a cash prize in the amount of 20,000 UAH. Each year the prize celebrated 20 works.
Winners of the awards for 2014 were young teachers of the Ecobiotechnology Department Faculty of Biotechnology and Bioenergy - Senior Lecturer, Ph.D. Veronika Zhukova and Ph.D. Catherine Schurska. They received the award for his work "Biotechnology sewage cleaning while obtaining hydrogen", in which proposed wastewater treatment of organic compounds, nitrogen while obtaining hydrogen by electrochemical means. Respectively, based on the results of PhD theses Veronica and Catherine, they prepared and defended at the Department of Ecobiotechnology and Bioenergy led by prof. Larissa Sablyi and led by prof. Eugene Kuzminskoho.
The award winners took place on February 10, 2016 in the Parliament in a solemn ceremony. Diplomas and badges awarded to young scientists delivered the head of Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Vladimir Groisman, the head of the Committee on Science and Education Lily Grinevich and the head of the Committee on Family, Youth Policy, Sports and Tourism Arthur Ward (on the picture).
