September 9, 2015 a working meeting was held with Professor Mihael Scheffler, who is the head of the Institute of Materials Science in the University Otto von Guericke (Magdeburg).
The meeting was attended by S.I. Sydorenko, pro-rector of international relations, M.I. Bobyr, director of MMI, O.S.Yandulskyy, dean of FEA, B.O.Yahno, director of the Joint Ukrainian-German Faculty of Institute of Mechanical Engineering NTUU "KPI" and Otto von Guericke University, V.I.Tyeryayev, subdean of FEA, O.I.Dudka, subdean of IFB and others.
The meeting attendees discussed a number of issues regarding the organization of Interuniversity international complex " Mechanical engineering and energetics", according to tripartite Memorandum between the Otto-von-Guericke University Magdeburg, Wroclaw University of Technology and the National Technical University of Ukraine "Kyiv Polytechnic Institute".
In order to develop cooperation the guest from Germany visited the Mechanical Engineering Institute, Engineering Physics Department, he inspected the joint educational center "KPI" and "Prohresteh-Ukraine", a training center NAAS, training center FESTO, the Professor familiarized with the capabilities of the Department DSM and OM in the field of 3D-modeling, numerical modeling of problems of deformation solids mechanics. Professor Scheffler made a speech before staff, students and teachers and answered their questions.
