On 26 of April 2016 will be 30 years tragedy at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant (CNPP).
CNPP Administration and Ukrainian scientific community took the initiative to start the discussion a new phase of international cooperation that aimed at common implementation of measures final transformation of the "Shelter" into an ecologically safe system. Also, carry through it in April 2016 in Ukraine International Forum "Lessons of Chernobyl - for nuclear security of the world ("Chernobyl Legacy for the Nuclear Safety of the World "), involving a wide range of scientists, politicians and the public.
As realization of Forum is on a bottom of the 30th anniversary of Chernobyl tragedy, the inclusion to its program issues on strengthening nuclear safety in Ukraine and in the world and CNPP accident consequences recovery create conditions for more active involvement of the international community to address the problems that remain unresolved.
Already determined that the co-chairs of the scientific and organizing committee of the Forum performed academician M.Z. Zgurovsky and General Director of the State Specialized Enterprise "CNPP" I. Gramotkin.
On 1 September 2015 year the first meeting of the local organizing committee of the International Forum concerning "Lessons of Chernobyl - nuclear safety for the world."
In its work were attended by vice-rector - vice co-chair of the scientific-organizing committee S.I. Sidorenko, director of the Center concerning International Education "KPI" V.O. Koval, deputy head of DMS E.I. Polishchuk and S.M. Shukayev and others.
Were discussed priority measures for the Forum organization, formation of the list of participants, composition of Program and Scientific organizing committees, draft program of Forum, working with the embassies of countries that provide the most significant assistance to Ukraine in overcoming the consequences after CNPP accident (US, Japan, Germany, France, United Kingdom ) and other organizational and informative issues.
