On July, 4 the competitions of young programmers within the framework of the Ninth International Collegiate Programming Contest of S.A. Lebedev and V.M. Glushkov «KPI-OPEN 2014" were finished.
Closing and awarding the winners of the competition are traditionally held at the Hall of Academic Council of National Technical University of Ukraine "Kyiv Polytechnic Institute".
219 participants, who have passed both rounds of the competition and successfully reached its finish line, were congratulated by the chairman of the organizing committee Ivan Plotnikov, author of competition tasks and winner of national and international competitions in mathematics and programming, a graduate of NTUU "KPI" Alexander Rybak, Vice Rector of NTUU "KPI" for the educational work Petro Kirichyok and representatives of sponsoring companies.
Unfortunately, not all the teams who have been pre-registered to participate in the tournament, could take part in it. But those 56 teams from Estonia, Hungary, and Ukraine, who were there, showed good skills and high potential. As the evidence of this, by the way, was the fact that the staff director of one of the competition sponsors - Delta Bank Yulia Belova invited participants to think about working in the bank and told them about the jobs possibilities for those who would make decision to work there.
The competition jury recognized as the winners the following teams:
- 1st place - Flawless (Kyiv National Taras Shevchenko).
